Video consultation software linking vets with pets.
Built at Steadfast Collective.
Problem
Vet Help Direct needed a way for pet owners to connect with veterinary professionals online and receive advice without every interaction requiring an in-person visit. The product had to support a sensitive healthcare-adjacent workflow where clarity, reliability, and trust matter more than novelty.
The application needed to make remote consultations easier for both sides: owners needed a clear path to help, and veterinary teams needed a manageable way to handle video appointments.
Role
I worked on the platform as part of the Steadfast Collective team, contributing to the Laravel application and the consultation workflow.
Stack
Laravel, Vue, video consultation features, scheduling workflows, and customer-facing web application development.
Implementation highlights
The core challenge was turning a video call into a complete consultation flow. The surrounding product had to handle user journeys before and after the call, not just the call itself. That included clear access paths, appointment-related screens, and application logic that supported the consultation process.
For products like this, the details matter: users need to understand where they are in the process, what happens next, and how to reach the right consultation. The implementation work therefore had to support both the technical video experience and the product workflow around it.
Outcome
The platform helped make veterinary advice more accessible through remote consultation software. It was a focused web application built around a real service workflow rather than a generic video-call page.
